The Arizona Diamondbacks have put the final touches on the roster leading up to the Saturday matchup in San Diego.
After the game Friday night, the D-backs sent infielder Ildemaro Vargas back to Triple-A Reno. He had been recalled prior to the game but did not appear against the Padres.
Third baseman Eduardo Escobar will be active for the game tonight.
The team made room for Escobar on the 40-man roster by designating shortstop Jack Reinheimer on Friday.
The D-backs acquired the versatile infielder from the Twins on Friday. Escobar, 29, is batting .274 with 15 home runs, 63 RBI and a league-leading 37 doubles.
He will primarily man third base. Jake Lamb was placed onto the 10-day disabled list Friday with a left shoulder contusion.
