The Arizona Cardinals’ “Red & White Practice” this Saturday will be raising funds for fallen Arizona Department of Public Safety trooper Tyler Edenhofer.

The fundraiser, in partnership with the 100 Club of Arizona, will benefit Edenhofer’s family and will also be in support of injured troopers Sean Rodecap and Dalin Dorris.

The practice will be at University of Phoenix Stadium this Saturday from 1:30-4:00 p.m.

When gates open at 12:30 p.m., a barbecue will be held on the south lawn at the southwest side of the stadium. All proceeds from the barbecue and from the 50/50 raffle being held during the practice will be received by the 100 Club in support of the three troopers and their families.

On July 25, the three troopers responded to multiple calls regarding Isaac Damon King, who was walking in traffic lanes and throwing rocks at vehicles in Avondale under the influence, according to court documents.

King was allegedly fighting Dorris when he allegedly got a hold of Rodecap’s gun, firing one shot that hit Edenhofer in the collarbone and another that struck Dorris in the shoulder.

Edenhofer was pronounced dead on the scene. Dorris and Rodecap were also transported to local hospitals for their injuries, but were released shortly after.

King was charged Sunday with one count of first-degree murder, two counts of attempted first-degree murder, two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, two counts of aggravated assault involving an officer’s firearm, three counts of endangerment and one count of resisting arrest.
