The schedule makers over at the NBA offices must have gotten the memo.
After being debated as to who would go No. 1 in the 2018 NBA Draft, Deandre Ayton and Luka Doncic won’t have to wait too long to go up against one another.
On Oct. 17, the Phoenix Suns will host the Dallas Mavericks to kick off the 2018-19 NBA regular season.
Tipoff is slated for 7:30 p.m. local time.
As it stands, the Suns have just one primetime game in their Opening Week game against Dallas. The team did not receive a game on either Christmas Day or Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The remaining regular season schedule is set to be released on Friday.
The NBA’s 73rd season will officially start on Oct. 16.
