Sister Mary Jo paints the corner with first pitch at White Sox game

Aug 18, 2018, 7:14 PM | Updated: 9:20 pm

Look out Sister Jean, there’s a new sister taking over the sports world.

Sister Mary Jo Sobieck of Marian Catholic high school captivated America when she threw out the first pitch of the Chicago White Sox game on Saturday.

Not only did she stand on the mound with a ton of swagger, popping the ball off her arm like she’d been there before, but she found the strike zone with an absolutely nasty curveball.

She topped the performance off by raising the roof as she walked off the field.

We weren’t the only ones to take notice, either:

Sobieck is the latest sister to grace a Chicago sports team.

When Loyola-Chicago made an improbable run in last spring’s NCAA Tournament, their spark happened to be 98-year-old Sister Jean Dolores-Schmidt.

Seriously, how can you forget these kicks?

With the White Sox sitting 24.5 games out of first place in their division, Sister Mary Jo might just find herself in the team’s rotation in no time.
