Bruce Arians lets one slip in live regular season broadcast debut

Former Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians is known for not having much of a filter.

Cardinals fans got to know that through his time with the team, and the rest of the country is about to know more about that in his broadcast career.

Arians joined with CBS to do commentary on the NFL after retiring, and in his regular season debut, he said a word he was not supposed to say.

After a reception, Arians described the ball-catcher as “wide (expletive) open.”

Arians was referring to one of the biggest plays of the first half for the Pittsburgh Steelers offense against the Cleveland Browns, a 37-yard completion by quarterback Ben Roethlisberger to tight end Jesse James.

One can expect that Arians was already informed that’s a no-go for future broadcasts, but if anyone knows the long-time NFL coach, this probably won’t be the last time he lets one slip on live television.
