Suns assign Diante Garrett to D-League

The Phoenix Suns assigned point guard Diante Garrett to the Bakersfield Jam of the NBA Developmental League Saturday.

Garrett, a rookie out of Iowa State, has played in 18 games for Phoenix this season, averaging 7.5 minutes, 2.2 points and 1.6 assists.

This will be Garrett’s second stint in the D-League this season. In January, Garrett averaged 15.1 points and 7.4 assists in a seven-game assignment during which the Jam went 6-1.
