Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker is day-to-day with a mild hamstring strain, confirms 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station’s John Gambadoro.
The guard took himself out of Wednesday night’s 131-113 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers in the third quarter after feeling the injury.
He said the injury felt like a cramp and would get it checked out Thursday morning.
“Just took a bad step, felt it, that’s all I know,” Booker said of his strained left hamstring after the game. “I’m going to sleep it off and tomorrow have a better understanding of what’s going on.”
Even with the injury, Booker still managed to put up solid numbers against LeBron James and the Lakers. He finished with 23 points, seven assists, seven rebounds and just four turnovers in 29 minutes.
The primary piece to the Suns offense, the 21-year-old guard is averaging 27.8 points, 6.8 assists and 4.5 rebounds per game.
It’s unknown if he will be ready for Saturday’s contest against the Memphis Grizzlies.
