The Arizona Cardinals announced Wednesday a series of roster moves involving their practice squad, adding two players and removing two others.
The team signed tight end Gabe Holmes and defensive tackle Vincent Valentine to its practice squad, while releasing tight end Andrew Vollert and defensive tackle Pasoni Tasini.
Holmes, 27, played eight games — four of them starts — with the Cardinals this year before being released on Tuesday. He was with the team’s practice squad last year, eventually being elevated to the active roster and appearing in two games. The Purdue alumnus went undrafted out of college.
Valentine was a third-round selection (96th overall) by the Patriots in 2016, appearing in 13 games that year, two of them starts. He spent most of last year on injured reserve before being on their practice squad this year and getting released on Oct. 8. The 24-year-old had 19 tackles and one sack in 2016.
The Cardinals are currently in their bye week, and will next play on Nov. 11 at Kansas City.
