The duo of Brandon Williams and Brandon Randolph came up big for the Arizona Wildcats as they took down the Chaminade Silverswords 75-64 in an exhibition game Saturday night.

The pair scored a combined 42 points, including eight three-pointers, in the win as Arizona finishes their exhibition schedule at 2-0.

It was Williams who got things going beyond the arc in the first half to spark a Wildcats team who faced an early deficit.

Williams made his shots count in the first half, shooting 5-of-7 from the field, including 4-of-5 from deep. The guard finished the game with 23 points.

But even with his stellar play, Chaminade only trailed 31-29 at halftime as the Wildcats shot 35 percent from the field compared to the Silverswords’ 40 percent. They were also beat on the glass, losing the rebound battle 22-16.

Chaminade would continue to push the Wildcats, using a 9-0 run early in the second half to take a 40-32 lead.

Arizona clawed its way back as the Wildcats would go on a 10-0 run, capped off by an Alex Barcello layup. He had five of the 10 points during the run.

The game continued to remain close, however, before Randolph took over the game with about five minutes to play.

After scoring four points in the first half, the guard dropped 15 in the second half, including a pair of crucial threes. He was 4-of-5 from beyond the arc.

Chaminade would get the deficit to just six points in the closing minutes before Justin Coleman hit the dagger from long range to seal the 75-64 win.

Up next, Arizona takes on Houston Baptist in its regular-season home opener.
