The Arizona Cardinals have re-signed veteran receiver Kendall Wright after releasing him on Oct. 18.
Wright did not appear in a game for Arizona after initially joining the team on Oct. 8 and was inactive for a road game at Minnesota. He fills one of the Cardinals’ two open roster spots coming off a bye week and in preparation for a Week 10 game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Originally added to give the receiving room a boost, Wright again joins an Arizona team that will now carry six wideouts: Larry Fitzgerald, Christian Kirk, J.J. Nelson, Chad Williams and Trent Sherfield.
Wright, 28, played for the Chicago Bears in 2017 and recorded 614 receiving yards on 59 catches, including one touchdown. He previously played for the Titans for five seasons (2012-16) and was drafted in the first round (20th overall) by Tennessee in 2012.
Wright’s highest yardage total came in 2013, when the Texas native hauled in 94 catches for 1,079 yards.
