ASU’s Harry, Robertson receive Pac-12 Player of the Week honors

The Pac-12 was put on notice on Saturday afternoon in the Arizona State Sun Devils’ 38-20 statement victory over the Utah Utes. ASU was recognized for its efforts by earning the Pac-12 Player of the Week honors for both offense and defense.

Standout receiver N’Keal Harry continued his reign of dominance on Saturday when he caught nine passes for 161 yards and three touchdowns in the upset.

His longest haul of the afternoon was a 61-yard bomb from quarterback Manny Wilkins that enabled Arizona State to pull away from Utah in the beginning of the fourth quarter.

On the other side, freshman linebacker Merlin Robertson continued his breakout campaign with nine tackles and a pick early in the second quarter. This marked the first interception of Robertson’s young career as a Sun Devil.

Through nine games, Robertson has totaled 59 tackles, eight for loss, to go with five sacks, one fumble forced and one fumble recovered.

Arizona State now stands at 5-4 on the season and 3-3 in the Pac-12.

While a slow start hindered their success in the early-going, the Sun Devils have won two in a row and three of the last five games.

With wins in their final three games of the season, the Sun Devils would represent the South Division in the Pac-12 championship game.
