Designing can be a difficult and tedious task, but the social media age has enabled the creatives of the world to share their work with the internet’s seemingly endless audience. Their ideas oftentimes seep into the realm of sports in ways you may not have previously imagined.
An inventive Twitter user named Ferry Designs posted a series of MLB/NHL mashup jerseys including a Diamondbacks hockey uniform that highlights the team’s teal secondary color with a black base.

The uniform is an homage to the D-back’s classic uniform and logo scheme donned from 1998 until 2006. This version of the team’s uniform incorporated shades of purple and teal as opposed to the contemporary red and sand colored logo.
Though it’s not the most modern approach, Ferry Designs made sure to trim the logo with the same sand color that the Diamondbacks have featured over the last decade.
It’s not unheard of for the major Arizona sports teams to crossover for their uniforms, as the Coyotes sported D-backs themed apparel late last season for the team’s annual “D-backs Night.”
Instead of a classic-themed jersey, the Coyotes wore a black warm up uniform with red outlines featuring the logos of both teams within the outline of Arizona.
