When the Arizona Cardinals take on the Oakland Raiders on Sunday they will be without safety Budda Baker and receiver Chad Williams.
Head coach Steve Wilks told reporters on Friday that Baker will sit with a knee injury and Williams could not recover from an ankle injury.
Baker has been important part to the Cardinals defense leading the team in total tackles with 75.
His eight tackles for loss lead the team by three, with defensive end Benson Mayowa the next closest with five.
Cornerback Bene Benwikere is expected to receive more playing time due to Baker’s absence.
Williams has appeared in 67.05 percent of offensive snaps for the Cardinals this season. He has 11 catches on 31 targets for 113 yards and one touchdown.
Rookie Trent Sherfield will be the likely replacement for Williams. Sherfield filled in for Williams against the Chiefs and will likely do the same against the Raiders.
The Cardinals also brought in kicker Matt McCrane for a workout in case kicker Phil Dawson (right hip), who is a game-time decision, will not be able to play.
D.J. Humphries and Robert Nkemdiche will also be game-time decisions for the Cardinals with knee and calf injuries respectively.
