PHOENIX — Michael Finke scored 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds and Grand Canyon won its third straight home game to start the season, thumping Arkansas State, 96-72 on Friday night.

Grand Canyon won its third straight game after losing its season opener at South Dakota State. The Antelopes have won 52 home games over the past four seasons, the fourth highest total in Division I behind only St. Mary’s (55), Oregon (53) and Louisville (53).

The Antelopes have now won 10 straight games at GCU Arena dating back to last season. Their last home loss came on January 11, 2018 — a 70-59 loss to rival New Mexico State.

Finke, a graduate transfer from Illinois, scored 11 of his points in the second half. The Antelopes had six players score in double figures, shooting 32 of 65 from the field (49.2 percent). Damari Milstead added 14 points and grabbed a career-high five steals, and Oscar Frayer contributed 13 points.

Ty Cockfield hit 11 of 16 shots from the field and finished with 24 points to lead the Red Wolves. Grantham Gillard added 16 points.
