Arizona State junior receiver N’Keal Harry has had a stellar career and has emerged as one of the top prospects of next year’s NFL Draft.
Whether it’s using only one hand or being surrounded by multiple defenders, none of that matters for the Chandler native.
Out of Harry’s 213 career receptions, there are five spectacular ones to note that are among the best in his three years for the Sun Devils.
1. One-handed catch against USC in Week 8
Look out, Odell.
This ridiculous arm-extending grab is reminiscent of the catch that put the world on notice.
Harry caught the sideline pass from Manny Wilkins while falling on his back away from the USC defender. The are-you-kidding-me moment came with eight minutes left in the game. Harry was one-on-one with USC defensive back Iman Marshall, who covered Harry as well as he could.
Sometimes, though, better offense beats better defense.
2. One-handed bobbling catch vs NC State in 2017
It takes a great deal of concentration and coordination to catch a pass like this.
Overthown? No problem. Harry extends one hand while holding off the defender with his other as he keeps his balance to catch the ball after tipping it once. He did this with the defender draped all over him on the post route.
3. One-handed catch vs UTSA in 2016
As a freshman in 2016, Harry caught 58 balls for 659 yards and five touchdowns.
One of his five touchdowns came against Texas-San Antonio in a game where Harry started to get rolling and let everyone know what the buzz was all about.
The one-handed catch was even more spectacular on replays that showed how Harry securely caught the ball with one arm.
Harry finished with five catches for 78 yards and a touchdown, making it his second straight game with at least five catches and 70 yards.
4. Catch over two defenders vs UCLA in 2017
N’Keal Harry, or Randy Moss?
Sometimes receivers are so good that even if there is double coverage and even if that double coverage is in the right area, sometimes you just throw it up and let the big fella make a play.
Harry not only rose up to meet the ball, but also adjusted his hands to meet the ball as he hung in mid-air. That’s the type of catch that warrants first-round attention in the NFL Draft.
5. Touchdown catch vs. Arizona in 2017
We’ve got another case of Wilkins seeing solid coverage and giving Harry a chance to bring the ball down.
Like our previous catch, Harry shows an uncanny ability to make last-second reads on the ball and move however necessary to come down with it.
Harry caught two touchdowns in the 2017 Territorial Cup, one of three games in his Sun Devil career in which he snagged at least two scores.
