The Arizona Cardinals signed defensive end Cameron Malveaux off the Miami Dolphins’ practice squad Wednesday and added him to their 53-man roster.
The team also added linebacker Thurston Armbrister to the practice squad.
The moves come after the Cardinals announced several roster moves Monday that left roster spots open on their NFL roster and practice squad.
Malveaux has played five games this year for the Dolphins, none of them starts. In those appearances, the 24-year-old has recorded six tackles.
Last year, the then-rookie played in four games and recorded a sack to go with five tackles and one quarterback hit.
The Texas native attended Houston, where he played 39 games and made 16.5 tackles for loss with seven passes defensed and three fumble recoveries.
The 6-foot-5, 265-pound DL went undrafted.
Armbrister has 30 career games and five starts combined with the Jacksonville Jaguars (2015) and Detroit Lions (2016). He has 27 tackles and was an undrafted rookie out of Miami.
He was with the New York Giants in the preseason but was released on Aug. 20.
