Suns to debut ‘Los Suns’ City Edition jerseys on Friday
Nov 28, 2018, 10:42 AM
The Phoenix Suns will debut their second City Edition alternate uniforms for Sol Cerveza Fiesta Night this Friday as they host the Orlando Magic.
The Latin-themed “Los Suns” jerseys are a refresh from last year’s first run of Nike’s City Edition sets and are more of a throwback style to the franchise’s 1990s jerseys, albeit without the team’s classic sunburst logo.
Along with the “Los Suns” text on the front, a stitching that reads “Somos PHX” sits above the label at the bottom of the jerseys. One of the legs on the shorts features an Arizona flag in purple, orange and black.
The Suns will celebrate the evening by giving away a Sol Cerveza paracord bracelet to the first 2,500 fans 21 years old and older. The festivities will include basketball piñata contests, a TapSnap Photo Booth and a DJ in the Fry’s Plaza starting at 5:30 p.m. Fans 21 and older can also sample Sol Cerveza at the Brewmasters near section 119.
Additionally, “Somos PHX” t-shirts will be available at the team shop for $12.
After Friday, Phoenix will wear its City Edition jerseys for home games against the New Orleans Pelicans (March 1) and Chicago Bulls (March 18)
The Suns will also gear up in the alternate uniforms for road games against the Pelicans (March 16) and Sacramento Kings (March 23).
