T.J. Warren will join Phoenix Suns leading scorer Devin Booker on the sidelines as their team hosts the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday, reports 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station’s John Gambadoro.
Warren has been dealing with right ankle soreness that kept him out of the last two games, losses to the Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Lakers.
Against the Kings, Phoenix will start Elie Okobo, Mikal Bridges, Josh Jackson, Trevor Ariza and Deandre Ayton, according to Gambadoro.
Head coach Igor Kokoskov said Monday that Warren’s chances of playing in Talking Stick Resort Arena against Sacramento were “slim.”
Booker re-injured a hamstring against the Lakers on Sunday. Booker missed Friday’s game against Orlando with a toe injury and returned in Los Angeles only to tweak the leg injury that cost him three games in late October.
The Suns (4-19) will face the Kings (11-11) without their two leading scorers.
Booker is averaging 23.5 points per game to go along with 6.7 assists. Warren has added 17.7 points per outing.
