Larry Fitzgerald’s highlight reel is a lengthy one.
Dicing it up and picking 12 of his best plays isn’t an easy task. And remixing a favorite Christmas song to put all those plays into context takes a bit of effort, too.
But that’s what the Arizona Cardinals and the Phoenix Boys Choir did, giving us the top Fitzgerald plays in “The 12 Plays of Fitz-mas.”
From Fitzgerald’s first catch as a Cardinal against the Rams, to his 3rd-and-23 catch from this year against the Packers, their rendition of “The 12 Days of Christmas” covers a lot of his best moments.
Of course, it has to end on a sour note — not on the part of the singers, mind you.
The first play of Fitz-mas is none other than his 64-yard touchdown in Super Bowl XLIII against the Steelers that came with 2:37 left in the game.
It was his biggest moment on the biggest stage but comes with a tinge of regret. It didn’t allow Arizona to burn off more clock before scoring a touchdown to take a 23-20 lead. Pittsburgh would go on a game-winning drive, keeping the Cardinals from a championship.
It was, indeed, a bit too early.
