The Arizona Cardinals announced Friday they had elevated wide receiver Malachi Dupre and defensive tackle Pasoni Tasini from the practice squad and released cornerbacks Leonard Johnson and Deatrick Nichols.
Dupre was a seventh-round pick by the Packers out of LSU in 2017 and has spent time on the practice squads of the Bills, Texans and Seahawks before coming to the Cardinals this year. The 6-foor-2 receiver has never played in an NFL game.
Tasini has been on the Cardinals practice squad the past two seasons after he joined Arizona as an undrafted free agent following in 2017. He played two seasons at Utah after starting his college career at Snow College, and like Dupre, has yet to make his regular season NFL debut.
Johnson played in six games for the Cardinals this year, starting one, recording 10 tackles. He has played seven seasons in the NFL with Tampa Bay, New England, Carolina, Buffalo and Arizona, and was an undrafted free agent out of Iowa State.
Nichols made his NFL debut this season, playing in two games for the Cardinals and recording one tackle.
