It didn’t take Clayton Keller long to be recognized for his quick start in the NHL.

The 20-year-old forward on Wednesday was selected to the NHL All-Star Game later this month in San Jose.

The selection is the first in Keller’s NHL career and the lone one for the Coyotes.

Keller, in his second NHL season, leads the Coyotes with 29 points and his eight goals rank third on the roster.

Keller posted 65 points as a rookie last season and was named a Calder Memorial Trophy finalist, which is awarded to the league’s top rookie.

His 96 points are the most points in Coyotes history by a player before his 21st birthday.

Keller is the 45th All-Star in franchise history and the 24th since the team moved to Arizona prior to the 1996-97 season.

The NHL All-Star game will take place at San Jose’s SAP Center on Jan. 26.
