Clayton Keller may not be the only Arizona Coyotes player to participate in the 2019 NHL All-Star Game.
Coyotes captain Oliver Ekman-Larsson was selected on Wednesday as the team’s representative for the “Last Men In” vote.
Fans can vote for Ekman-Larsson as the Pacific Division’s final all-star on the NHL’s website for the next week until Jan. 10 at 11:59 p.m.
Ekman-Larsson has 5 goals and 17 assists in 39 games this season.
The “Last Men In” vote is a last-chance way for the NHL to add a total of four all-stars — one from each division — to the game.
A player on each NHL team is chosen and the player with the most votes from each of the four divisions will participate in the game.
The Pacific Division’s other “Last Men In” candidates are Ryan Getzlaf (Anaheim), Leon Draisaitl (Edmonton), Anze Kopitar (Los Angeles), Logan Couture (San Jose), Brock Boeser (Vancouver), Jonathan Marchessault (Vegas) and Mark Giordano (Calgary).
The 2019 NHL All-Star game is Jan. 26 at San Jose’s SAP Center.
