Snapshot: Cardinals pull out another close win over Rams

St. Louis Rams head coach Steve Spagnuolo has a lot to figure out. Quarterback Sam Bradford threw for 203 yards and a touchdown, running back Steven Jackson had 17 carries and he was playing a Cardinals team who was blown out in San Francisco last week, yet he couldn't get a win. I don't know whose seat is hotter - Spagnuolo's or ASU head coach Dennis Erickson's. The youngsters just kept coming up big on Sunday. Rookie linebacker Sam Acho was all over the field Sunday and making plays left and right, including recovering a fumble. Patrick Peterson is a beast. The rookie cornerback returned yet another punt for a touchdown on Sunday, making it four on the season. He is now tied for the NFL record for run-backs in a single season and there is still some time yet to play. Sunday was the Beanie Wells show. The Cardinals have been relying on Wells to become a big, game-changing running back for them this season and Wells was that guy. He put up a franchise-record 228 yards and a touchdown. John Skelton only completed about 50 percent of his passes on Sunday. In the first quarter, they were all obscenely overthrown, at least until the Cardinals draft a 12-foot tall receiver. His 114 yards and two interceptions were rescued by a huge ground game from Beanie Wells.
