The Pulse: Leandro Barbosa, Gerald Green need to step up in Eric Bledsoe’s absence
We at ArizonaSports.com like to ask our readers questions. They’re the Sanderson Ford Poll Question, and can be found midway down on the right hand side of our home page.
Thursday we asked our readers who needs to step up for the Phoenix Suns now that guard Eric Bledsoe is out four to six weeks after undergoing arthroscopic surgery involving meniscus cartilage in his right knee.
Of the 669 votes cast, almost 70 percent of the votes were split between guards Leandro Barbosa and Gerald Green, with a slight edge (36 percent) voting for Barbosa.
Only 7 percent voted for reserve guard Ish Smith, and 19 percent chose point guard Goran Dragic, who already plays a key role.
Six percent voted for “Other,” which could be players like center Miles Plumlee or forwards Markieff Morris, Marcus Morris, P.J. Tucker and Channing Frye.
