The Phoenix Suns are bringing back forward Quincy Acy for a second 10-day contract. The team made the move official on Thursday.
Acy, 27, originally signed a 10-day contract with the Suns on Jan. 7.
Since signing, Acy has appeared in all four games for the Suns with the team’s second unit in the first half. He has yet to break 10 minutes in a game this season but has managed at least eight in all four.
In 33 total minutes this season, Acy has recorded one point, rebound and steal.
Without Acy, the Suns through most of December were not playing a traditional power forward behind starter T.J. Warren and instead rotating their wings through that spot. Ryan Anderson has not played for the Suns since Dec. 4 and Dragan Bender’s last game outside of garbage time was on Dec. 31 when Phoenix was without backup center Richaun Holmes.
By keeping Acy, the Suns will remain at 14 roster spots, with one still open.
