While the Arizona Cardinals and others await Larry Fitzgerald’s decision as to whether he will retire or not, the wideout is, as usual, doing really cool stuff with his off time.

On Friday, it was playing golf with former President Barack Obama, and Fitzgerald’s biggest accomplishment off a football field might have occurred during the outing.

The story, as told by the Golf Channel’s Tim Rosaforte, lives up to the hype.

Fitzgerald hosted Obama in the wideout’s foursome that had the 44th President of the United States playing at Seminole Golf Club in Florida for the first time.

On the 13th hole that stands 165 yards out from where the group teed off, Fitzgerald followed a shot by Obama that landed 20 feet from the hole.

Hitting with an eight-iron, Fitzgerald’s shot was described as rolling like a putt once it hit the green and went in for the hole in one.

The golf club has a rule against cell phone use, so the shot itself wasn’t documented with any video, but one of the members of the group was president of the club Jimmy Dunne. The rule was waived so Fitzgerald, like anyone else, could fulfill the urge to make his achievement known to the world.

Per Rosaforte, the 13th hole is one of the most difficult 18th handicap holes around.

When Fitzgerald hit the shot, one of the high fives he received was from Obama himself. There aren’t many moments that have to feel surreal for the future Hall of Famer, but that one surely checks the box.
