Amidst the team’s fourth six-game losing streak of the season, the Phoenix Suns kept the doors shut following their road loss to the Denver Nuggets a little bit longer than usual.

Reporters couldn’t enter the team locker room for postgame interviews until 52 minutes after the game, according to Gina Mizell of the Athletic.

The reason for the delay?

“I like long showers,” Devin Booker said.

Scrubs and shammys were probably necessary to wash off the dirt off from the 132-95 loss to Denver, which played without their best player Nikola Jokic, who was suspended for the game.

The Suns were also without their two big men, Deandre Ayton and Richaun Holmes who were both dealing with injuries, and their second leading scorer, T.J. Warren.

However, the Suns beat the Nuggets without Booker on Jan. 12, the last win for the Suns since the beginning of the current seven-game skid they are experiencing now.

Jamal Crawford was a little more revealing with his comments about what happened in the locker room after the game, saying that the team wants to keep what happened behind closed doors in-house.

“We just had a nice talk,” Crawford said.

Defensive intensity could have been a topic of discussion for the Suns who have scored more than 100 points in four of the seven games of the current losing streak.

Phoenix has given up at least 110 points in each of the seven losses on the current streak including four games in which they gave up 120 points or more.

Through 51 games this season, the Suns have held opponents to under 100 points five times going 4-1 in those games including two of which occurred during a four-game win streak from Dec. 13-19.
