Peterson wants to make Cowboys pay if they kick it to him

Dec 1, 2011, 3:20 AM | Updated: 3:52 am

Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson leads the league in punt returns for touchdowns. Through Week 12 though, teams continue to kick it to him.

“Guys have egos and pride,” Peterson said. “They may want to see it for themselves, so like I said if they kick it to me I just have to make them pay.”

Peterson has four touchdowns, tying an NFL record, including last week’s 80-yard score against the St. Louis Rams.

“I told the punt return team here my goal is at the end of the year I don’t want these guys kicking me the ball,” Peterson said.

Peterson’s kick return last week set the NFL record for most returns of at least 80 yards.
