Dockett not interested in history lesson with Cowboys
The Cardinals and defensive end Darnell Dockett are ready
for the Cowboys
to come to town this weekend but they’re not ready for a
history lesson…
even if it’s a good one.
When asked about the team’s recent success against Dallas,
Dockett
wanted none of it.
“Doesn’t mean anything. Different team, different
records, different
atmosphere, different personnel, different coaches.
Doesn’t mean
anything,” Dockett said. “That’s just last year. I think
this is a good
challenge for us. We’ll be ready, just trust me, we’ll be
ready.”
The Cardinals have won the past two meetings with the
Cowboys with last
year’s win coming on Christmas Day. Despite those two
wins, Dockett still
knows it will be a challenge.
“I think everybody in this locker room knows what we’re
facing this week,
against America’s team and they’re playing some good
football and they’re
coming in here. We’re gonna be ready, simple as that.”
Dockett should be looking forward to facing the Cowboys.
Last year he
gave himself a Christmas present by recording five
tackles, two QB hits and
two sacks in the Christmas Day W.
