MLB Network recently completed its Top 100 Right Now list ranking the best players in all of baseball, and D-backs fans may find a couple of familiar faces on it.

Starting pitcher Zack Greinke and left fielder David Peralta both made appearances on the list after strong seasons in 2018, with Greinke coming in at No. 71 and Peralta at No. 86.

Greinke finished last season with a 15-11 record and a 3.21 ERA with 199 strikeouts in 207.2 innings pitched, and proved to be a stabilizing presence at the top of the D-backs rotation.

He is no stranger to this list, as he has appeared on every single iteration since its inception in 2012. His highest ever placing was at No. 16 in 2016, right before he began his tenure with the D-backs.

Peralta, on the other hand, is making his debut on the list after having a breakout season in 2018. He finished the year with a .293 batting average and a .352 on base percentage to go along with a career-high 30 home runs.

Peralta was also featured on the network’s Top 10 Left Fielders Right Now list, where he came in at No. 10.

Two other guys who played for the D-backs last season also made the list, as Paul Goldschmidt was ranked at No. 16 and Patrick Corbin was ranked at No. 78. Corbin signed with the Nationals as a free agent in early December, and Goldschmidt was traded from the D-backs to the Cardinals just a few days later.
