The Arizona Cardinals have signed quarterback Brett Hundley to a one-year deal, the team announced Thursday.

The deal is worth $2 million with a max value of $3 million, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Hundley, 25, spent last season with the Seattle Seahawks and will likely take the role of backup quarterback with the team.

Last season’s backup quarterback, Mike Glennon, was released last Friday.

Hundley, who went to Chandler High School, has thrown for 1,853 passing yards and nine touchdowns in his four-year NFL career.

Hundley is a former fifth-round pick of the Green Bay Packers in 2015 out of UCLA.

He was the backup quarterback in Green Bay behind Aaron Rodgers during his three years with the Packers.

When Aaron Rodgers broke his collarbone in Week 6, Hundley replaced him for the rest of the season.

In his 11 games during the 2017 season, Hundley threw for 1,836 yards, nine touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He also rushed for 270 yards and two touchdowns.

Hundley was traded to the Seahawks in August 2018 and didn’t attempt a pass last season.
