The Phoenix Mercury on Wednesday revealed their jerseys for the 2019 season and they have a new sponsor — PayPal.
“We are incredibly gratified that a company of PayPal’s global stature and impact values a partnership of this magnitude with our WNBA team,” Mercury chief operating officer Vince Kozar said in a press release.
“Diversity, inclusion and equality are at the heart of our team’s mission and we are fortunate to have found a company whose values so closely mirror ours.”
The PayPal logo will feature on the left shoulder of the jerseys, a stark change from the past.
Last season’s jersey sponsor, Verizon, had their logo on the chest directly below the player’s number.
The change is a league-wide effort to more prominently feature the team logo, according to ESPN.

The Mercury will primarily wear two jerseys this season — the Icon edition and Statement edition.
The Icon edition features the team’s primary orange color while the Statement edition is purple with an orange outline.
A third black jersey with a pink outline will be worn in August at home in honor of Breast Cancer awareness.
This will be the second season WNBA teams wear Nike jerseys after transition from Adidas.
The Mercury open the season May 25 at Seattle and have their home opener May 31 against Las Vegas.
