If Arizona Cardinals general manager Steve Keim needed a laugh during what had to have been a very stressful Thursday, Frank Caliendo was there to provide it.
As the comedian told Dan Patrick on The Dan Patrick Show, Caliendo was leaving audio messages for Keim in the hours leading up to the start of the 2019 NFL Draft.
“So I’m sending Steve Keim messages from Jon Gruden,” Caliendo said, turning on his Gruden impersonation to propose a fake trade from the Oakland Raiders with the No. 4 overall pick.
He wasn’t done there, though, performing his impressions of national NFL news-breakers like FOX’s Jay Glazer and ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Keim sent those around, including the impersonation of Schefter to Schefter.
Patrick got Keim on the phone, giving a background to the events of the day and his relationship with Caliendo.
Keim joked that it was “torture” and he felt like he had done a few trades with the Raiders.
