The Phoenix Suns have taken care of two of their own before training camp begins later this week.

Brothers Marcus and Markieff Morris signed four-year contract extensions the team announced Monday.

“We are particularly pleased to have reached extension agreements with Marcus and Markieff before the start of training camp,” said President of Basketball Operations Lon Babby in a statement. “There is an extraordinary bond between these twin brothers; they make each other better players and better men. We take pride in their growth and look forward to their bright futures.”

ESPN’s Marc Stein reported Sunday the two would receive more than $50 million.

Paul Coro of azcentral sports confirmed the report Monday with Markieff getting a little more than $30 million and Marcus at $20 million.

The Morris’ had career bests in 2013-14. Markieff averaging 13.8 points and 6 rebounds. Marcus had 9.7 points and 3.9 rebounds per game.

It was also their first full season as teammates in the NBA.

“We are excited to be able to extend the contracts of Marcus and Markieff,” said general manager Ryan McDonough. “They have had great success playing together at every level of basketball, including last season with the Suns.”

Markieff finished fourth in the NBA Sixth Man of the Year voting last season.

Last week the Suns agreed to an extension with guard Eric Bledsoe.
