Former Arizona Wildcats and Phoenix Suns star Channing Frye’s NBA career came to an end less than a month ago, but it’s already apparent he shouldn’t take up baseball with his newfound free time.

Or maybe he should.

Frye threw out the first pitch at Sunday’s Cleveland Indians game and it’s up there as one of the worst first pitches of all time.

It was so far wide of the left-handed batter’s box that it didn’t register on SportsTime Ohio’s strike zone and came in at 54 mph.

The pitch was a bad omen for the Indians, too, who went on to lose the game 10-0 to the Seattle Mariners.

The real question is how does Frye’s first pitch rate among the worst in baseball history?

Is it worse or better than 50 Cent’s or Cincinnati mayor Mark Mallory’s?

How about Cardinals running back David Johnson’s?

In any case, congrats to Frye on a successful NBA career and picking the correct sport to go pro in.
