ASU gymnastics coach is Arya Stark’s stunt double in Game of Thrones

May 14, 2019, 8:51 AM

Kristina Baskett is a volunteer coach for Arizona State gymnastics, but she’s got another cool gig.

Baskett is a stunt double for Game of Thrones actress Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark in the hit HBO series.

She’s contributed to the culture-altering show dating back to 2016, but ASU put the spotlight on Baskett’s side hustle (or is it her main hustle?) Monday when its gymnastics Facebook account posted a picture of Baskett in her Sun Devil hoodie while on set.

Baskett joined Arizona State’s staff before the 2018 season and finished her collegiate career as a 12-time All-American gymnast at Utah.

Since, she’s gotten what looks to be a lengthy resume of stunt work.

Her IMDB page shows that she indeed appeared on the most recent episode of GOT, “The Bells.”

She has 12 episodes of work for the show under her belt and quite the wide array of other appearances. Baskett has appeared in the movies Into the Storm, Divergent and Ender’s Game, plus has worked for TV shows including NCIS: Los Angeles, Glee and Modern Family.

Her YouTube stunt reel from 2017 shows a few clips of Baskett playing Arya Stark in past Game of Thrones episodes.
