Every day, ArizonaSports.com asks readers a question. It’s the Sanderson Ford Poll Question of the Day, and it can be found midway down the right side of our home page.

Earlier this week, we asked whether or not the Phoenix Suns will sneak into the playoffs this season.

A total of 663 votes were submitted, and 81 percent of Suns fans believe a return to the postseason is coming.

The Suns are well on their way after defeating the Los Angeles Lakers 119-99 on Wednesday in their season opener.

Phoenix has not made the playoffs since the 2009-10 season when they lost to the Lakers in the Western Conference Final in six games. They won 54 games that season, finishing second in the Pacific.

The Suns finished one game back of the Dallas Mavericks for the final Western Conference playoff spot last season with a record of 48-34.
