The Arizona Diamondbacks’ 7-0 win over the San Francisco Giants had manager Torey Lovullo reach a special milestone.

Lovullo is now at 200 wins in his time as manager of the D-backs and is the third-fastest active manager in MLB to reach that number. It took him 368 games, trailing Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts (339) and Detroit Tigers skipper Ron Gardenhire (349).

Lovullo also becomes the second-quickest to 200 wins in franchise history, only failing to beat out Bob Brenly.

After spending some time as the interim manager for the Boston Red Sox in 2015, the D-backs hired Lovullo for his first time in a managerial role in 2017. Under Lovullo, Arizona won 93 games and made a playoff appearance to end a five-year drought. Lovullo was named National League Manager of the Year.

The D-backs regressed to an 82-80 record last season but are off to a 25-20 start in 2019.

Lovullo had stops in Toronto and Boston as a coach before joining the D-backs and had an eight-year playing career in the majors.
