Phoenix Rising FC captain Solomon Asante was named to Week 11’s USL Championship Team of the Week, the club announced Tuesday.

Midfielder Kevon Lambert was also named as an honorable mention in Phoenix’s 4-0 victory over Las Vegas Lights FC on Saturday night.

Asante had one goal, one assist and created four chances in his first start since April 27 after personal reasons kept him out of the squad.

The Ghanaian is now tied for the most assists on the team with Junior Flemmings at five apiece.

Lambert’s standout performance was also recognized as the Jamaican midfielder was able to get himself a goal in his slightly more attacking role of late to go along with his normal production of six tackles, five interceptions and two clearances.

This marks the second time two PRFC players have received Team of the Week honors in the same week (Week 7) and both the seventh different week and player to be recognized by USL Championship thus far through the 2019 campaign.

Phoenix Rising FC returns to action on May 25 away to Real Monarchs.

Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. and the match can be audio streamed on
