Snapshot: Wildcats routed in Stillwater

This shot shows the overall grit that both teams displayed on Thursday. The Wildcats may have lost, but they didn't quit while the Cowboys looked to make a few plays happen by sheer will power. Yell all you'd like, Mike Stoops. It's not going to help.
The Wildcats loss on Thursday was bad, but not terrible. They will still field a decent team for the Pac-12 South, though it looks to end the hopeful championship talk. The Cowboys defense turned into a wall against the Wildcats running game. Arizona running back Keola Antolin only managed 22 yards on 13 carries. The 37-14 scoreline doesn't give an accurate picture of the entire game. Despite the loss, Wildcats quarterback Nick Foles still threw for 398 yards in 37 completions. That's just impressive and a spark of hope for Wildcats fans. The Arizona Wildcats clearly need a bit of work on their run defense. In this photo, the punter - yes, the punter - runs for a first down. While we are aware that special teams obviously handles the punter, the defense still gave up 197 rushing yards. Ouch.
