The Arizona Cardinals have completed mini-camp, stepping further away from their disastrous 2018 campaign, but running back David Johnson still has positive words about the quarterback who led the team last year.

On SiriusXM’s Mad Dog Sports Radio, Johnson said he thinks now-Miami Dolphins quarterback Josh Rosen will be one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL.

“I think he’s going to end up being on of the most dominant quarterbacks in this league,” Johnson said of his former teammate.

Rosen was drafted by Arizona at No. 10 in the 2018 NFL Draft. The next offseason, with the No. 1 pick in the draft, Cardinals and new head coach Kliff Kingsbury drafted Kyler Murray.

“I definitely feel bad for Josh, what happened to him, the circumstances he was put in,” Johnson said.

With that in mind, he didn’t express any regret in his team trading the second-year quarterback. He praised Murray on the show and compared him to Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson.

“He’s going to be great,” Johnson said. “It’s going to be scary for D-linemen. I remember I was just talking to Chandler (Jones), he has to kind of hesitate when he chases (Murray) down.”

Murray’s ability to scramble isn’t the only strength Johnson sees in his new quarterback. Johnson thinks Murray’s arm is underrated.

“People are really underestimating his ability to throw,” Johnson said. “He can throw dimes and he can throw the ball down the field, he’s been throwing it deep to Christian (Kirk), to those guys in the OTAs… these defenses are going to have to definitely practice against a scrambler like him and it’s just funny watching Chandler and giving him a hard time.”
