Arizona State’s Eno Benjamin had a breakout season in 2018.

Now, he’s regarded as one of the best running backs in the college football Bowl Subdivision.

USA Today’s Paul Myerberg published a list of the 10 best running backs coming into the 2019 season.

Benjamin was ranked No. 5 on the list after his stellar sophomore season last year.

In 2018, he rushed for 1,642 yards and had 16 touchdowns. As a receiver, he had 263 yards and two touchdowns.

Myerberg said Benjamin should be close to or exceed 2,000 total offense yards in 2019.

What’s even more impressive about last season is how little Benjamin played his freshman year.

He only rushed 142 yards and had one touchdown in 23 attempts.

Myerberg also touched on Benjamin’s NFL potential after his junior year.

“Likely the best back out West, he is a very strong NFL candidate due to his talent as a runner and developing skills as a receiver,” Myerberg wrote.

Benjamin wasn’t the only player from an Arizona college mentioned by Myerberg.

J.J. Taylor from Arizona was listed as one of five players that just missed out.

Taylor also had a breakout season last year.

Taylor ran for 1,434 yards and had six touchdowns in 12 games.

Even though Myerberg didn’t list any expectations for Taylor in 2019, expect him to put up similar, if not better, numbers from his sophomore season.
