Four former Arizona State Sun Devils made the cut at the 119th U.S. Open following the completion of the second round on Friday.

Chez Reavie (four-under), Jon Rahm (three-under), Phil Mickelson (one-under) and Paul Casey (even) all made the cut to Saturday’s third round. The cut line was two-over.

Two other ASU alumni and one current student participated in the opening two rounds as well, but were not able to make the cut following Friday’s second round.

Professionals Matt Jones and Chan Kim shot a 71 and 75 on the day, respectively, while amateur and soon-to-be senior Kevin Yu shot a 73.

Kim ended up finishing 10-over and Yu completed his U.S. Open at five-over.

Unfortunately for Jones, he barely missed the cut, finishing just one stroke short at three-over.

The third round will get underway at Pebble Beach on Saturday.

Of the remaining former Sun Devils, Casey and Mickelson have the earliest tee times.

Casey tees off at 11:49 a.m. and Mickelson will follow at 12 p.m.

Rahm and Reavie will close out the day at 1:39 p.m. and 2:23 p.m., respectively, with the latter being paired with four-time major winner Rory McIlroy.
