Diamondbacks Ketel Marte and Eduardo Escobar were again among the top-10 vote-getters at their respective positions on the latest MLB All-Star ballot update.

In the second update released Monday, Marte and Escobar held to the same spots they were in for last week’s update. Marte is third (553,524 votes) among NL second basemen behind Atlanta’s Ozzie Albies (1,011,132) and Milwaukee’s Mike Moustakas (966,391). Escobar is seventh (185,561), trailing the leading vote-getter at third base, Nolan Arenado (1,475,825).

Marte ranks sixth in the NL in home runs with 20, which is second-most among NL second basemen behind only Moustakas. His .286 average is the highest at the position, and his .906 OPS is second. He has 50 RBI, which also is a league lead at second.

Escobar is hitting .292 this year with 17 home runs and a .916 OPS. His 58 RBI lead NL third basemen and are tied for the second-most among all NL batters. He is tied for the league-lead among NL third basemen in home runs, and his average and OPS each rank fourth at his position.

Over his last eight games, Marte is hitting .412 with a 1.474 OPS and six home runs, six RBI and two doubles.

The 2019 MLB All-Star game will be played July 9 in Cleveland.
