The Arizona Diamondbacks second-round pick Tommy Henry of Michigan threw a three-hit masterpiece to further the Wolverines push toward the College World Series.

The lefty threw a complete-game shutout, striking out 10 Florida State Seminoles along the way.

Henry did not walk a single batter and needed just 100 pitches to get through all nine innings. He threw 71 pitches for strikes.

He struck out FSU outfielder J.C. Flowers to end the game and mowed down FSU’s three, four and five hitters in order in the final frame.

Flowers was drafted in the fourth round by the Pittsburgh Pirates and pitches and plays outfield for the Seminoles.

Henry improved his ERA to 3.27 on the season with 127 strikeouts in 115.2 innings.

Michigan’s next game will be on Friday against the winner of Texas Tech and Florida State, who square up in an elimination game on Wednesday.

Only one other D-backs draftee is still alive in the CWS, Mississippi State relief pitcher Jared Liebelt. His Bulldogs play Vanderbilt in a non-elimination game on Tuesday.

Arkansas outfielder Dominic Fletcher, another second round pick by the D-backs, was eliminated as his Razorbacks lost to Texas Tech earlier in the day.
