Phoenix Suns forward Josh Jackson found himself in the news once again for the wrong reasons.

The forward is accused of using marijuana and getting his four-month old high by the child’s mother.

According to court documents submitted June 4, the incident occurred on June 2 at Jackson’s residence between he and the mother of the child, who are not together.

Upon picking the child up, the mother, Lorena Villela, said she smelled a strong odor of marijuana, adding she believed Jackson appeared to be high as well.

According to Villela, this wasn’t the first time she has noticed marijuana in Jackson’s home, even stating the child appeared to be high after a visit on May 22.

Later in the day, Villela confronted Jackson on the marijuana smell.

Jackson responded via text message saying “the people in this house will tell you I don’t do that when she’s around or before I see her so say what you want.”

Villela claims Jackson is using marijuana before and while the child is in his custody.

Jackson’s attorney issued a statement on the forward’s behalf, denying the claims.

“Josh Jackson categorically denies these defamatory and deeply upsetting allegations,” the statement read. “He would never endanger the well-being of his daughter or any other child. Period. We look forward to clearing Josh’s name as swiftly as possible and continuing to pursue justice for his daughter.”

The Suns have yet to issue a statement.

Under NBA rules, marijuana is a prohibited substance in both the offseason and during the season.

It’s just the latest off-the-court incident for Jackson.

On May 10, Jackson was charged with resisting arrest and escape while attending the Rolling Loud music festival after attempting to enter a VIP area multiple times without a proper pass.

He later posted a $1,000 bond the following day.

Jackson was also fined $20,000 by the team for skipping a Suns-sponsored autograph session last season.
