With Arizona Coyotes development camp underway this week, many of the team’s prospects are in town learning something on and off the ice.
The prospects camp began Monday with over 30 players on the roster.
Some notable players on the roster include 2019 first-round pick Victor Soderstrom and last year’s fifth overall pick Barrett Hayton.
Now those players are participating in some “community day” activities that the Coyotes planned out for Wednesday as the team visits different places around the Valley.
The first stop for the team was working with the 100 Club of Arizona to serve lunch to Scottsdale firefighters and police officers.

The team also donated $50,000 to the non-profit organization as part of the Coyotes Give Back program.
Thank you to @100ClubAZ for all the work you do. We hope our $50,000 donation will help you continue to assist the families of @ScottsdaleFire and @ScottsdalePD. #CoyotesGiveBack pic.twitter.com/WLrYTdEkJC

Another place players helped out was the Hope for Hunger Food Bank by sorting through boxes of food to help the Phoenix Rescue Mission’s work in hunger and poverty.
Our prospects had the opportunity to help out at one of our favorite organizations, @PhxMission. Hope for Hunger Food Bank is an outreach of Phoenix Rescue Mission dedicated to addressing both hunger and poverty.#CoyotesGiveBack pic.twitter.com/q1CmO01PAA

The last stop for the team was going to the Boys and Girls Club of the East Valley to play hockey with children there.
Growing the game is our passion.

The Arizona Coyotes Foundation has been helping throughout the Valley since the team’s relocation in 1996. The foundation has raised millions of dollars for nonprofit organizations that promote education, youth sports and health programs for children as well as service men and women.
The Coyotes development camp continues Friday when prospects face off in a red-versus-white scrimmage game at Gila River Arena.
