Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Zack Greinke earned his sixth selection to the MLB All-Star game.

Greinke will join fellow Diamondback Ketel Marte on July 9 at Progressive Field in Cleveland. MLB announced the full rosters Sunday afternoon after previously naming the starting players.

This season, Greinke is 9-3 with a 2.90 ERA. He has 99 strikeouts in 115 innings through 18 appearances. Most recently, Greinke pitched seven innings and allowed five hits with six strikeouts Saturday against the San Francisco Giants. On Sunday, he appeared as a pinch-hitter against San Francisco.

In addition to being Arizona’s ace, Greinke’s had offensive power for the team this year as well. Through 38 at bats, he’s had 11 hits, seven runs and three home runs.

Last year, Greinke was elected as a replacement to the All-Star team in place of Chicago Cubs pitcher Jon Lester.

Greinke was elected as a reserve through a combination of player ballot and the commissioner’s office.

Marte was voted as the NL’s starting second baseman.

The 2019 mid-summer classic marks the 90th All-Star game since the first in 1933. The American League has won the game for the last six years, including last year’s 8-6 win at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C.
