Former 4-star high school recruit and TCU transfer Jaylen Fisher announced Tuesday on Twitter that he will join the Grand Canyon Antelopes.

Fisher has one year of college eligibility left and according to GCULopes.com’s Paul Coro has a pending redshirt ruling to determine his immediate eligibility with the NCAA.

The 6-foot-2, 195-pound Fisher entered his name into the 2019 NBA Draft but pulled out in late May, instead focusing on determining where he would play his final college season.

As a junior last year, Fisher averaged 12.1 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.7 assists for the Horned Frogs. He appeared in only nine games, starting eight, and was shut down due to a meniscus injury.

Knee issues also limited him to 17 games during his sophomore season at TCU, where he averaged 12.3 points and 5.4 assists on 50% shooting overall and 44% accuracy from three-point range.

For the Antelopes, he would join a backcourt that also includes returning leading scorer Carlos Johnson and incoming 3-star recruit Jovan Blacksher, among others.
