It hasn’t been the best of series thus far for St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Paul Goldschmidt against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
And it didn’t get much better for the right-handed slugger on Saturday night.
In the bottom of the third, Goldschmidt hit what would’ve been a two-run home run off D-backs starter Merrill Kelly.
But left fielder Jarrod Dyson had other ideas.
Dyson leaped to make the catch and rob the former Diamondback of both a home run and his first hit of the series to keep the Cardinals lead at 2-1.

Goldschmidt ended the night 0-for-3, reaching base on a Jake Lamb error in the bottom of the first in the Cardinals’ 4-2 win.
The former Diamondback has yet to get a hit in the series, as he went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts in Friday night’s 4-2 D-backs win.
